Saint Savva of Serbia, First Archbishop and Founder of Serbian Orthodoxy (1169-1236). Monastic reformer who established the autocephalous Serbian Church and founded the Chilandar Monastery on Mount Athos. His tireless efforts brought Orthodox Christianity to the heart of the Serbian people.
Feast: January 27. One of the most venerated saints of the Serbian Orthodox tradition, he remains the spiritual father of Serbian Christendom.
