Saint Markella of Chios, Virgin Martyr (14th century). A beacon of faith and purity, she fled her father's wickedness to preserve her chastity, accepting martyrdom rather than compromise her devotion to Christ.
Feast: July 22. Patron of Chios, her intercession brings protection to all who face temptation and danger, with miraculous signs continuing at her sacred martyrdom site to this day.
Location: Above Altar - Lower Ceiling
